New York, NY (PRWEB) October 18, 2013

Evergreen Creations LLC has launched The Fairy Tale Trail, a collection of farm-friendly fairy tales that includes Jack and the Cornstalk, Ciderella and the Little Glass Sipper, and Beauty and the Bees. Educators and caregivers can now visit http://www.thefairytaletrail.com to purchase The Fairy Tale Trail books and download free lesson plans and activity sheets that help young children learn about farming and agriculture.

The Fairy Tale Trail debuted earlier this fall at a select group of agritourism farms that are displaying the stories along a set of weatherproof signs within their corn mazes. Many of these farms are also selling paperback copies of the books in their farm markets. Today, to coincide with Farm to Preschool Day during National Farm to School Month, Evergreen Creations has made The Fairy Tale Trail content available online to the general public. Also in celebration of National Farm to School Month, Evergreen Creations has put all of its eBooks on sale for the reduced price of $ 0.99 until the end of October.

I love sharing Jack and the Cornstalk with my school groups, says Debra Kearney, owner of Dan-D Farms in Knoxville, IA. Ms. Kearney reads the book when she hosts field trips at the farm and when she visits local libraries. It is a fun story for introducing agriculture concepts like seed planting and plant nutrition to young children, Kearney adds. Similar feedback comes from Alicia Robinette of Robinettes Apple Haus & Winery, a family-friendly agritourism destination in Grand Rapids, MI. Ms. Robinette says, Ciderella has been a wonderful addition at our farm this fall. It is a really cute story that complements the experience of picking apples in the orchard and drinking farm-fresh apple cider.

Aaron Burakoff, founder of Evergreen Creations and author and creator of The Fairy Tale Trail books, is an ardent supporter of the local food movement. Storytelling is an incredibly powerful tool for early learning, Burakoff says, so we have taken timeless stories that most children already know and added a farm-friendly twist to promote agriculture education. He hopes that his tales will help young children develop an appreciation for farming and healthy eating that stays with them for life.
